American architect John Johnston commissioned a bespoke design in cut vinyl to decorate the lower storey glass facade of his office/residence.

The brief was to develop a design incorporating the lettering and numbers of the postal address with the dual functions of providing privacy from passers by and shade from the sun.

The solution explores scale and layering with the element of pattern emerging from the repeated type.
