Commission Claire
Claire is interested in working on commissions and installations, developing prints and patterns suited to both private and corporate spaces. Designs from the collection can be manipulated to incorporate bespoke size, pattern placement and colour requirements. These have the potential to be applied to a range of different surfaces.
Having established a working process that she finds both fascinating and rewarding, Claire is looking forward to transforming sources taken from a range of different environments and contexts into patterned art forms. She is happy to consider working with ‘fragments’ offered by the client for the development of a personal and unique design.
Past Commissions
A commission to provide a decorative and functional feature for one of the main buildings at the University’s central site in Manchester. A delicately coloured frieze travels along the entire 28 metre glass facade enlivening the views from inside the atrium to the busy street outside with its rhythmical patterns. The installation coincided with the use of the building for poetry readings and performances organized as part of ‘Offcut’, a programme of events held during Manchester International Festival 2007.
